Which airlines does it work with?Mit welchen Airlines funktioniert es?
CrewJournal reads trip, pairing and rotation pages that show flights with times – in any layout. It works best when the page also lists the crew. If something is not read correctly, send us the (anonymised) screenshot and we will improve it.CrewJournal liest Rotations- und Pairing-Seiten, die Flüge mit Zeiten zeigen – in jedem Layout. Am besten funktioniert es, wenn die Seite auch die Crew auflistet. Wird etwas nicht richtig gelesen, schick uns den (anonymisierten) Screenshot, dann verbessern wir das.
What happens to my screenshots?Was passiert mit meinen Screenshots?
They are sent encrypted to our reading service, which uses artificial intelligence to recognise flights and crew. Only the result is saved in your logbook; the screenshots themselves are not stored by CrewJournal, and they are not used to train AI models. Can CrewJournal read my logbook?Kann CrewJournal mein Logbuch lesen?
No. Your logbook is encrypted on your device with a key that only you hold – you unlock it with your passkey (Face ID or fingerprint) or your backup password. We only see when your trips took place, not what is in them. That is also why we cannot restore your logbook if you lose both your passkey and your backup password.Nein. Dein Logbuch wird auf deinem Gerät mit einem Schlüssel verschlüsselt, den nur du hast – du öffnest es mit deinem Passkey (Face ID oder Fingerabdruck) oder deinem Reserve-Passwort. Wir sehen nur, wann deine Rotationen waren, nicht was darin steht. Deshalb können wir dein Logbuch auch nicht wiederherstellen, wenn du Passkey und Reserve-Passwort beide verlierst.

Usually one screenshot is enough: if the return flight has the same crew, CrewJournal fills it in. If the crew changes during the trip, add more screenshots so that all names are visible – they are merged into one trip.Meist reicht ein Screenshot: Fliegt auf dem Rückflug dieselbe Crew, füllt CrewJournal sie selbst aus. Wechselt die Crew während der Rotation, füge weitere Screenshots hinzu, damit alle Namen sichtbar sind – sie werden zu einer Rotation zusammengeführt.
What about standby and ground duties?Was ist mit Standby und Bodendiensten?
Standby, reserve and ground duties are not counted towards your flight time. Flights you travel on as a passenger are logged as deadheads.Standby, Reserve und Bodendienste werden nicht zu deiner Flugzeit gezählt. Flüge, auf denen du als Passagier reist, werden als Deadhead erfasst.
Can I add notes about crew members?Kann ich Notizen zu Crewmitgliedern hinterlegen?
Yes. When you check a new trip, tap “＋ RMK” next to a person and write your remark. You can also add or edit it later on the person’s page. People with a remark are marked with a yellow RMK in your crew list. Remarks are private and encrypted: only you can read them.Ja. Beim Prüfen einer neuen Rotation tippst du neben einer Person auf „＋ RMK“ und schreibst deine Remark. Du kannst sie auch später auf der Seite der Person hinzufügen oder bearbeiten. Personen mit Remark sind in deiner Crewliste mit einem gelben RMK markiert. Remarks sind privat und verschlüsselt: Nur du kannst sie lesen.
Can I add trips by hand?Kann ich Rotationen von Hand eingeben?
Yes. Tap ＋ and choose manual entry. Crew members you have flown with before are suggested as you type.Ja. Tippe auf ＋ und wähle „Manuell erfassen“. Crewmitglieder, mit denen du schon geflogen bist, werden beim Tippen vorgeschlagen.
How do I delete my data?Wie lösche ich meine Daten?
